The Jackson Arthritis Center

Jackson Arthritis CenterThe Jackson Arthritis Center, located Oakland, California, is a 501 (C) (3) research, education and community outreach organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by arthritis. The Center fulfills its mission by conducting research projects, offering comprehensive educational programs, and by providing specialized services in the area of arthritis treatment.

Research

The Jackson Arthritis Center is highly dedicated to researching new treatments for arthritis. We are quickly expanding our research department to accommodate further arthritis studies.

MOVE Study Conducted through the Stanford University School of Medicine, the MOVE study examines the long-term effectiveness of viscosupplementation. The study involves comparing the presence of pain in osteoarthritis (OA) patients treated with and without viscosupplementation.

Education

At the Jackson Arthritis Center education is a key element in managing and treating your arthritis. Studies show that patients who understand and actively participate in their health care are more successful in treating their arthritis pain. We therefore have a wide variety of educational devices to meet every patient's needs, from written material to in-person support group sessions.

Programs

The Jackson Arthritis Center is dedicated to patient education and outreach, and we have a range of programs available for patients at every stage of the arthritis. All of our programs focus on understanding your options and finding an arthritis management program that works for you. The following classes are held at the Center.

Continuing Education

While the Jackson Arthritis Center is dedicated to patient outreach and education, it also seeks to improve the quality of life of individuals with arthritis through continuing education on the end of the practitioner.

Outreach

The Jackson Arthritis Center is a community-focused initiative. It is our vision to empower Bay Area residents living with arthritis through education and resources. Many programs currently offered through this division.
